The last couple weeks we have been in full fledge summer mode! It’s our Daisy’s first summer so we’re pretty giddy to take her everywhere and introduce her to some things we LOVE! Daisy’s age is so much fun right now so we find ourselves staring at her for hours watching her every move. Our events the past few weeks have included the Zoo, Pool Side Swimming, Kite Flying, Fireworks and a Balloon Glow! Side Note: If you are local and have not experienced the Columbus Zoo it needs to be a must!
Enjoy a few summer pics so far! As of now, we’re planning Daisy’s 1st birthday and awaiting the arrival of our next blessing, Scarlett! More to come on the fun that lies ahead!
We always pencil in one day during this busy season and celebrate the Saviors Birth with our friends! We believe that a few years ago that our Savior answered our prayers and sent us some amazing friends to be in our life… So we give thanks to HIM for bringing us together. It was an evening of tasty food, intense games, lots of laughter and a heavenly hot chocolate bar! My hubs and I planned “Minute to Win It” games for everyone and it was a competitive night to say the least!
We also set up a little photo booth! Who doesn’t love Christmas Selfies??? Enjoy a few of our snaps
We also went to the Family Christmas Event where we catered to by the most loving faith-based company in the world at Prasco Laboratories! I’ve never seen a company that Loves God and Loves People more than this (kinda like Chik-Fil-A). Our family had the best time meeting Santa, enjoying free treats and small toys. Our Daisy loved the Big Man in Red! Let the Christmas Festivities begin!!!
There is no holiday that I love more than Independence Day! Summer is the best time of the year and we couldn’t have had better weather for July 4th weekend.
It’s become a tradition to have a July 4th Party at my brother and sister in-laws beautiful home.
My brother-in-law prepares a massive fireworks show for the whole community. I have no idea how he plugs and wires everything, but every year I am left speechless from a display of beautiful explosions! This year was the best year yet! I’m pretty sure Daisy loved it too as she was jumping in my belly! It’s always so fun to watch my hubby and his brother work together to put on the show. Great job guys!
There is nothing like grabbing a hot dog and watching the sun set with an amazing group of people. We were so blessed to have all of our family and friends there with us. The cutest babes were running around dressed in red, white and blue. There were even bubbles and bouncy houses for the kiddos!
Enjoy a few snapshots Celebrating America!
I’m so excited to share our Family Christmas photos. Every year we get so excited planning our Christmas Card. I have always wanted a snow shoot and I was for sure this would be the year for it. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any snow until after our planned photo shoot. This year we did our first studio shoot and Jess captured the sweetest moments 🙂
Now I have to chat about my adorable friend Jess that took these pictures because she is too cute and oh-so-talented. I’m sure you will see more of her work around here. Her name is Jess Maslyn Photography and you have to check her out! See her amazing work with us in her snowy studio.
We wish you a Merry Christmas!
Christmas is my favorite time of the year! Who doesn’t love this magical season! One thing I look forward to the most is fun little parties with friends. Our good friends, Jamie and Nathan hosted an Ugly Sweater Party at their beautiful home!
There were definitely some winning sweaters at this party – some originals from the 70’s, some homemade that lit up, and some that left me confused. Would it really be bad if we dressed like this all the time?
Blessed to be surrounded by all these incredible people and celebrate the season of our Saviors birth!
Enjoy just a few of my favorites 🙂
Fall parties are always a blast! When it comes to parties my sister in-law throws the best! She’s so creative and really gets into the theme and character. A few weeks ago she threw a fun little Fall Party! We had a blast planning the party, and did I mention it was in the perfect barn that felt like the hulls of a ship. It was a battle between the Pirates and the Royal Navy. Obviously, as you can see we were the vicious pirates LOL. A ferocious series of games led to the Navy and Pirates both being victorious in the end! Many will say otherwise due to technical difficulties but we all fought hard til the end! Good Food and Good Friends were the best part of the night 🙂 Also did I mention there was a candy buffet??? Check out some pics here 🙂
Being an Aunt is one of the most rewarding feelings in the world. I have no children yet, but I am blessed to have 3 nephews (Wyatt, Blake and Hudson) and 2 nieces (Johanna and Evangeline) that I get to love on all the time! Each one of them are so unique and special in their own way. It’s exciting to watch them grow, listen to their sweet stories, hug them like crazy and most importantly watch God pour into their little hearts.
This weekend I kept my two nieces, who are the most girly-girls in the whole world by the way. We did a little photo shoot together on Saturday – fish faces, fairytale stories and ballerina dances was all involved!
I’m a big fan of glasses and they are kind of my favorite accessory to everything I wear! So, I thought it would be appropriate to introduce my nieces to the oh-so-fashionable four-eyes look early 🙂 They were so excited and their reaction was priceless! My niece, Johanna said, “I feel like a grown woman!”
Enjoy some pics here! Photo Cred to my husband @AskDrewHow.
6AM on a Saturday to run? Doesn’t sound like the best Saturday… I know! This time it was worth it! Once a year we always support our military in the annual Air Force Marathon. We both work on the base so it’s became a fun tradition to run this race. 15,000 come out and support and the hype is what keeps everyone going. We are not hardcore runners by any means but it was a blast and we finished in a better time than we expected. Great job runners! Look at some pics here!
This past weekend we went to the Pork Festival in good ole’ Preble County, Ohio. Fall is quickly approaching so we have to squeeze in all the festivals that autumn has to offer! It was great weather with the smell in the air of…. oh wait, pigs smell awful! The little petting zoo of goats, cows, lemurs, and even a kangaroo were quite the adventure for the little ones we took with us! See what fun we had here and below.
